I am feeling incredibly grateful and humbled to share that I was recognized as the 2025 HR Professional of the Year by Palm Beach County SHRM. This recognition feels especially meaningful. When I think back to how I started my journey in human resources eager, curious, and just hoping to make a difference in the workplace and community. I am reminded of all the people who poured into me along the way.
Serving as a Board Member for SHRM Palm Beach County has been one of the great privileges of my career. SHRM Palm Beach County played such a big role in my development, offering mentorship and community, and the kind of support that truly helped shape the HR professional I am today. My first job in HR I applied on the career page through SHRM Palm Beach County. I earned my SHRM-CP certification by attending a study group that was facilitated by a board member of the chapter. When I had first joined the chapter and attended events I was always greeted by the board members, leadership team, and chapter members and they encouraged me. Those experiences did not just develop my skills; they helped me find my voice and purpose as a HR leader. Being able to now serve on the Board feels like coming full circle, and it is a privilege I do not take lightly. It allows me to give back to a profession that has given me so much, and to help foster the next generation of HR leaders the same way others invested in me.
I am also deeply thankful for the leaders and organizations who believed in me along the way. My former employers gave me environments to learn, grow, and stretch beyond what I thought possible, each one contributing to the foundation I stand on today. To the organization who I work for today thank you for your trust, guidance, and unwavering support. Your leadership pushes me to show up as my best self and continue elevating the work we do for our people.
One of the highlights of this year has also been seeing our HR team nominated for Best HR Team of the Year. Their passion, resilience, creativity, and commitment to our people inspire me every day. This nomination is a testament to their hard work and the culture we’ve built together one grounded in trust, transparency, and shared purpose. Any recognition I receive is truly a reflection of the incredible team behind me.
None of this would be possible without my family who have been my anchor. They have supported me unconditionally every long day, late night, every challenge, and every dream cheering me on. Their encouragement and belief in me make all of this possible.
Thank you to Palm Beach County SHRM , my mentors, colleagues, my team, and my family for being part of this journey. I am honored, grateful, and excited for what comes next. I am even more committed to continuing the work of elevating our profession and empowering our people. Here’s to growth, purpose, and the people who make it all worthwhile.
